Maryam Banikarim is the Chief Marketing Officer for Nextdoor, a neighborhood app creating meaningful connections for neighbors. Prior to Nextdoor Maryam was the Chief Marketing Officer at Hyatt Hotels, Gannett, NBCUniversal, and Univision. She is known as a force for change recognized for her boundless curiosity, ability to build dynamic teams, and forge powerful partnerships.

During the pandemic Maryam created a nonprofit called NYCNext, a volunteer movement aimed at supporting New York’s artist community and revitalizing the city. NYCNext created pop-ups all over the city, including a star-studded rendition of New York State of Mind. Fast Company named her one of the Top 10 Disruptors, the New York Post named her One of the Most Powerful Women in New York, and Advertising Age named her a Woman to Watch.
